The GESLCC won by seven wickets against Cern CC, the first league match played on Sunday 22 May at Cern grounds.
Despite uncertain weather prediction, the match was played on a sunny day.
Cern CC won the toss and batted and scored 118 runs all out for 32.3 Overs.
As a response, GESLCC chased the the figure with ease to score 119 with a loss of 3 wickets for 18.3 Overs. The match ended around 4.15 PM and as usual Cern CC extended their hospitality by hosting a great Rice & Curry meal followed by some sweet for the tea break. Both teams enjoyed good cricket under a neutral umpire, Mr. Paul Cawsey by Swiss focus.
Selvann Amirthalingam took 4 wickets for 6 runs, in 3.3 overs, Majuran Vice captain made 66 runs not out including eight sixes and two boundaries during the GESLCC innings.
