The day of “Magnifique” cricket performance by GESLCC players at Bout Du Monde on last Sunday

GSLCC_CCC_1672017GESLCC won the third CSPL match against CERN CC by 123 runs. The match was played at Bout du Monde last Sunday.

GESLCC won the toss and the captain Mounir decided to bat first and scored 200 runs all out in 35 overs.
Two down batsman, Uddika brilliantly hit his first century in the season and scored 111 runs include 10×4 and 8×6 when he got caught by Nadeem. His partner ship followed up until the 8th wickets for a total of 175 runs. Sanjeeva scored 24, Arun 18, Nelson 11 runs.

The Cern CC openers Chris & Paul started the innings with a strong determination to chase the target. They scored 12 runs within the first two overs. During the third over, Paul who scored 2 runs was brilliantly caught, with a dive, by Uddika at the point while Lalantha was bowling. Chris who was 12 runs during the next over was caught by wicket Keeper Zarook while Idris bowled.

There were two remarkable catches taken by Uddika at point and by Zarook behind the wicket. This was seen as the turning point of GESLCC towards winning the game. Most of the hard caches well taken by the fielders but two easy catches were dropped. The bowlers were spectacularly accurate and all the fielders behind them were supporting to the fullest during this match. The ensemble of perfect coordination and technique made it possible for GESLCC to win the match against CERN CC by 123 runs, at home field.
